Does anyone know what the following comments mean? They are from an Ala. Dept of Archives card file. Surnames A thru F are on line. Remarks: Certificate #10520 dated 1863/10/23 in amount of $117.90 received 1864/01/18. Delivered to Judge Bailey by Colonel Fowler October, 1864. List, Clai, Cert., 1863-'64 del. to Ala. Agt. by order Sect. C.S. Treas. 1864/01/16 on app. of Col. W. H. Fowler, when res. of claimant not ascertained (This last was in a box titled Authority). This applies to F. A. Driver of the 8th Ala. I suspect it may be a death claim. I think he was killed in the war. Thanks for any help. John
