A 37th. I have a relative in Co. A. It is unfortunate but most confederate civil war regiments have incomplete muster rolls. Usually you will find rolls dating 62, 63, and maybe early 64. I have found very few after the start of the Atlanta campaign in may 64. I did find an amusing letter written after the war by an officer of the 19th Ala that shed some light on why this is so, he states that during the middle of the Atlanta campaign he sent his body servant home with his satchel containing muster records because in his words " killing yankees began to take priority over keeping records". There is no telling how many muster records met such fates. If you come to Montgomery, you can view the originals, the staff at the archives are very helpful. Good luck Jimmy Terry decendent of Co.
