Shockley appears as a member of Company "A", which was the 1862 letter designation of original Company "F". If that's correct, this man is from Talladega County, where this ocmpany was recruited. I don't know of any individual pictures of anyone from the regiment; if they exist today, they probably belong to descendants or collectors. Group pictures on the shores of Pensacola Fla. were taken by the New Orleans photographer Edwards, as mentioned in the post about the 1st Alabama Artillery above. You might also check the bibliography given for Dr. Ken Jones in his Alabama in the Civil War web site.
