My relative was Abraham Hooper. He was from Arkansas. we have him all thru the civil war until March of 1865 and he was given a furlough due to an injury and was in the hospital in Meridan Mississippi in the Way Hospital but if i understand his papers right then his residence was Oakleyville AL and the examining board that gave him the furlough was in selma, AL does any one have any info on Oakleyville, like what county is it in? or does anyone know about any records that would pertain to the medical examining board there. thank you for all your he
