You would have to supply a place name or county to avoid guessing. The only men by that listed in the 61st Alabama Infantry are Anderson, James H. and Sherod H. Parker. A man using the initials S. C. Parker served with Company "H", 48th Alabama. We know where that company was recruited, but that's not useful unless you know where 'your' Sevier C. Parker lived in 1860. I'm confused about what the 1866 certificate you mentioned could possibly be. The State of Alabama didn't approve pension legislation until more than twenty years later.
