The information is so abundant, I would like to narrow down the search field. Would he have been assigned to a particular unit because of where he was from??? I know that he was a doctor, but I don't know what role he played at Shiloh. Would this make any difference as to what unit he would have been placed in??? Any comments on how to approach this would be appreciated.
