McCroskey, served w/ Hilliard's Legion. Enlisted in 1861, appointed adjutant. Wounded severely right before Murfreesboro. After recovery, promoted to Major and appointed to John T. Morgan's staff & transferred to Mobile & later Montgomery, Alabama. Could anyone tell me-- 1)Who was John T. Morgan??? 2)Any ideas on where to look for service records on this ancestor?
