Arnold was my great-great grandfather who served in the same units it sounds like as yours. My daughter and I just visited Vicksburg and got a copy of his certificate of service. Since they both served for Hilliard and both became part of the 59th it seems they probably at least met if not friends. Life is something isn't it? John M. is buried in a small cemetery in Midlothian, TX. The cemeter is St. Paul Cemetery, where my family help settle. I really don't know anything else about his life at this time except he was born in Georgia. Good luck to you and your endeavors. Dianne
