On this date in 1864 the regiment had marched across the Potomac River with Jubal Early's army and was approaching Washington DC from the northwest. As for a burial at Liberty, if this grave received a permanent marker (a BIG if), your query might get results on a Bedford County VA site in RootsWeb.
