Hello to all, I'm new to this list, but I have a rather urgent lookup request; I'll cut to the chase and explain: Since 1966, I've been looking for the parents of my Gg grandmother, Mary Ann (Stewart) Coats, who was b. in AL in 1835. She married Thomas J. Coats in 1858 in Lincoln Co. TN. I have reason now to think that her family may have come from Madison Co. AL. Here's my two part request: could someone check for a John Stewart, b.c. 1805 (VA or TN?)with wife, Matilda b. 1808 TN, and see if they had any dau. who would fit for a birthdate in 1835? And if that comes up negative, could SKS just give me any sort of census summary for all the Stewart families in Madison Co. in 1850??? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
