Hello Carol, can I trouble you do run a State wide... I am at a loss of where to even begin to look. My paternal great-gr pop and his pop: John M. Smith, B:12/26/1859, county unknown TN (Middlename: possibly Munfred or Mumfort or other). At some point John's father moved to TN... where he married a woman from TN and John was said to be born there in TN. Before leaving TN, they or just John lived in Paris, TN. John at some time before 1886, moved to AR, where he was married in Brinkley, Monroe County, AR in 1886. John, his wife Mary and their children appears in the 1900 Brinkley Monroe County AR census. John's father: James M. Smith, , B: ~1841, county unknown AL, married ~ 03/1859, TN (Middlename: possibly Munfred or Mumfort or other... just like son John's) There is a possibility that John had a brother names Thomas. Thanks in advance for any help sent. Peace and blessings. Dolores Cobb Phifer
