Hello, My g-g-grandmother was Mary Thompson Partin. I need help in locating her on the 1900 Alabama Census. Then I can work my way back. Would appreciate it so very much if someone can find her. I have been trying to locate her for a long time and recently got some information that may help. Mary Thompson Partin (Parton, Parten, Pardon, Parden, Partain any spelling) died in 1904 -- had lived in Marbuts (P.O. Giles Co TN), Lauderdale Co., AL. Do not think Mary married a second time, but if so, it may have been to a Gray or Grey... I have been told that "District 4 where the Marbut Post Office was" is in the southwestern corner of Giles County and borders Lauderdale County, AL. I have also been told that "Mary must of lived between Anderson, AL and the TN stateline if her post office was Marbuts. Marbuts P.O. was changed to Minor Hill. Marbuts was in the Minor Hill area (4th District). If you come up hwy 11 from Anderson, AL, turn right on Hulsey's Branch RD, you can turn right again and go to Booth chapel Cemetery, if you don't go up the hill to Booth Chapel just a little ways is where James Garner Marbut had a store and cotton gin. Nothing and I mean nothing is there now." Thank you for ANY help in locating Mary Thompson Partin on the 1900 AL Census in probably Lauderdale Co, AL. Joy in FL
