He and his wife, Mary Ella (Ellen) were married in Giles Co TN in 1887, and they lived in Decatur, Alabama part of their lives. Think they lived either in or around Decatur, AL. The closest name I'm finding is Willis Helmick, age 57 b. TN living in 1920 Morgan Co., AL. Don't find a Benjamin with last name as you gave. Sorry I couldn't find him.
