1900 Clay county, AL, Poll Bridge, pct 18, page 57 surname appears to be Cann and that's what the index says (all birthplaces AL except as noted) James D. Cann 54 SC SC SC farmer ? (wife) 37 married 3 yrs, no kids I can't read the wife's name. It could be Louann, Lorana,Lucreta,Laura or something else entirely. Two houses away is: James J? Cann 24 farmer Georgia (wife) 32 married 3 yrs, 3 kids, 3 living Jasper (son) 8 John W.(son) 2 Dorah (dau) 1 The family in between is Henry(36) and Mary B.(25) Williams and children James O., Dorah L., Mattie L. & Wilborn.
