I was wondering if Valentine Hill may have been listed on the 1830 Alabama census? Thank you, Jean
He is shown in the index as Merline but the record is clear that it's Valentine: 1830 Madison Co, AL, page 91 Valentine Hill one male 20 to 30 one male 5 to 10 3 males less than 5 one female 20 to 30 one female 5 to 10 I think Valentine is probably older than that but the other ages seeem to match more or less.
