Looking for the family of Daniel Shaw, born about 1826 in Georgia, caucasian, married Martha Ann Harrison about 1858 - I'm trying to find Daniel's parents. Thanks for any help. Melissa
Melissa, There is no clear cut winner. This one is the only one I can find that seems possible. 1850 Hamilton Co, FL, dist 3, page 240 Daniel H or K Shaw 52 SC farmer Elizabeth 48 SC Daniel 20 GA laborer Dempsey 18 GA Greenbery 14 GA Ginney 10 GA Elbert L. 8 GA Crawford T. 6 GA Wily A. 4 FL The 1900 shows Daniel as born GA and parents both born SC so that fits. In 1860 Daniel is shown as born in FL which would indicate some Florida connection. His age sort of bounces around but in 1860 he is shown as 31 so age 20 in 1850 would be pretty close. Well, Daniel, Martha and family are in Conecuh Co., Alabama in 1880. I'll see if I can look further into the one you found, though.
