Looking for the parents of Wade H. Adams, caucasian, born in 1821. He didn't marry until 1855, so hopefully he's listed with his parents in Pike County in 1850. Thank you very much. Melissa
Melissa, I see no clear cut winner. You have Wade born in 1821, the 1860 census says 1829 and the 1870 census says 1824. It would make sense if he is the son of one of the Adams of Pike or Montgomery county but the only one I can find in this birth range is in South Carolina. Father is Steuben or Sterlin - mother is Nancy. There is a Wade H. Adams in Montgomery co in 1850 possibly old enough to be you Wade's father but the oldest child living with them is John W. born abt 1831. This age for John is confirmed by the 1870 census record. From the cemetery records, we know that Wade's birth date is 2/12/1821, but I do know that in the 1860 census of Pike county it shows him as 31 instead of 39. Could you tell me who's in the 1870 census with him - should be his 2nd wife. Thanks.
