Maybe still in Georgia, Pat. Mary and her previous husband (?) were apparently in Alabama in 1865 when Robert's stepson was born, but he and Mary probably didn't marry until, what? 1860? And those younger children should be grandchildren if they belong to Mary, I would think, so maybe neither of them lived in Alabama. 1860 Alabama has indexed: Robert Campbell in Lauderdale County, age 35, born Scotland Robert Campbell in Bibb County, age 17, born Alabama Robert Campbell in Cherokee County, age 50, born South Carolina Robert Cambel in Dekalb County, age 37, born North Carolina Linda in Georgia ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pat" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, February 21, 2004 2:11 PM Subject: [AL-CEN] 1860 / ???? / CAMPBELL > Looking for the family of R. <ROBERT> CAMPBELL (1813 GA) / MARY ??? Hi Linda, The Robert Cambel in Dekalb County, born NC, looks like a good prospect. I wonder if Mary and some of the kids are listed with him? The Dekalb County rings a bell. I'll bet you Robert Cambel (Campbell) doesn't show up in the 1870 Alabama Index.
