Needing a lookup in the 1850/1860 Alabama census for Carter Coleman and his family, wife-Adeline and children Henrietta, Lizzitt, Nancy, Julia, Clinton, Johnson, Peter, Edmond. I found them in the 1870 & 1880 census, but nothing before or after that. So was wondering where this family went too?

Angie, No Carter Coleman indexed in 1860 Alabama. Should he be indexed as head of household? I will be happy to try again if you can give me more to go on without my also having to go to the 1870 and 1880 census to find it there. It would help if you could tell me Carter's race, approximate year of birth, in which state he was born, and in which county he resided in 1870 and 80.
