Hi Earnie, Mattie was a Massey who married this John Norman and from what I have found, they migrated back and forth to Lawrence Co. and Giles Co. TN. I don't know John's birthdate, but Mattie was born circa 1903. Earlier census records always list her as Mattie. If you can't find anything though, it is possible they were in TN again. I will look into that. I really appreciate you looking through them all. I apologize...didn't know so many would come up! Jennifer, Did you know that Mattie was a common nick name for Martha? Once I discovered that, I found my Mattie listed by her real name of Martha. Good luck, Shirley ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jennifer Schwartz" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, February 03, 2004 2:37 PM Subject: Re: [AL-CEN] 1930/Unknown Co./John Norman > Hi Earnie, > > Mattie was a Massey who married this John Norman and from what I have found, > they migrated back and forth to Lawrence Co. and Giles Co.
