Yes, often it is just hard to read & the person that transcribed it may see it differently then what it may say, not to mention the fact that the census tahkers weren't always the most accurate either.. There spelling could be off or they may not write as well as others, or it might not even be info given FROM the family, could have been a neighbor or who knows what.... That is why you can't use the census info alont to prove your research... Hi Deborah, I can read William F. Tolbert clearly on my HeritageQuest Online copy. He's on page 224A with his wife and 11 children.
