She's either listed as Mary Huggins or Mary Ellen Bird, black, would be about 65 in 1910. Thank you.
Are you certain that Mary is still alive in 1910? According to the 1880 census, she would be 70 in 1910. Do you know who her children are besides Julia? Melissa, 1910 is indexed by head of household, and I don't find your Mary Higgins/Mary Bird indexed. Perhaps she is living in the household of someone else? There are no black Mary Higgins indexed in 1910 Montgomery County at all. There is one black Mary Byrd indexed in 1910 Montgomery County - born ca 1880, and two Mary Birds indexed in the state - one in Baldwin County, born ca 1859 and one in Bullock County, born ca 1840. In the state there are two black Mary Higgins indexed - one in Hale County, born ca 1854, one in Perry County, born ca 1908. Sorry I wasn't able to help. Hopefully someone else on the list will have better luck.
