I have done some research on this family of Genery's Gap in hopes of tying William Genery's son-in-law, James Jordan (husband of Mary E.) into my Jordan family of the same area. One of the census records I have is 1920 Shelby Co. which lists William's second wife Susan (Heflin) in the household of her son James. She is listed as "Susan P. Bunn, mother, age 76. In 1900 Bibb Co. she is listed as Susan P. Genery. I have several more census records that I would be happy to share with you.
