Mary, This might help to narrow down the county. I pulled by Alexander. No Jourdan, or Jorden, but here is all the Alexander Jordan's listed as head of the household on Godfrey.org (Heritage Quest). If no one repiies if you can narrow them down I will look them up later. 1860 none, 1870-1920, except 1880 and you can access that at familiysearch.org 1930 is not indexed. The earlier 1800's are but nothing came up.
