Dear Linda, Since you found Zachariah/Zachary Taylor Parton/Partin's wife and children on the Jefferson Co AL 1900 Census and 1910 Census without him, I am wondering if he was with his oldest son. Before I give Zachary up as dying before the 1900 Census, could you do a lookup for Mark Alexander PARTON/PARTIN for 1900? I am hoping he also moved to Jefferson Co AL, but it may be Mongomery, AL from TN. I would like to know the names and ages of everyone in Mark Parton's houshold. Thank you for your help. Joy Zachariah (Zachary) Taylor Partin/Parton born about 1848-9 Mary Alexander Partin born about 1851-2 Mark Alexander Partin, born about 1873-4 Lillie Anne Partin, born June 1875 Farrah M. Partin, born May 1878 Steel Hightower Partin, born 24 June 1884
Joy, I had already looked for him thinking as the eldest son, he may have been the one indexed as HOH. Just to be sure, I did another search for him in both Alabama and Tennessee. I checked all those Partin spellings for Mark, Marcus, Alex, Alexander, M initial, etc. and found only one Mark. He was aged 85, born in SC, and indexed in Marengo County, Alabama. Sorry. Linda Did the wife's census records indicate she was married or widowed?
