Thanks! In the 1910 census they only have Hattie and Walter. She had had 6 children and three living, so the three youngest in 1900 died during that decade. What a heartbreak. I'm guessing that the grandson in 1930 is the son of their son Walter. Could you see if there is a Walter Hurst, age 25, in 1930? Thanks very much. I don't see Walter in 1930 but I also don't see him on the Alabama death index for that period. There is a Walter W.
