my great great granny remarried to a John L Gardner b around 1857 but he might have been born in Alabama - we have nothing on his parentage but his first wife was probably Mary Cooper - I certainly need more info on John if anyone has connections to Ramer, Montgomery, AL
Unfortunately there were many Johns around that time. All of my Stephen's children were born in Alabama, I believe, as he migrated to Montgomery probably around 1828. There is a John Gardner, born about 1852 in the 1860 Ramer (Montgomery Co.) Census.
