Thank you so very much. I do believe that the James Hill and Martha Ford Hill are my great great grandparents. Ferdinand Hammond Hill went by the name of "Ferd". His brother was John T. Burwell was the son of James (b/ca 1762), but I don't know his mother's name, and the tracing the James McClendon's can be tricky and confusing. James was the son of Lewis and Mary McClendon. According to my calculations, my Burwell (my gggg grandfather) would be the 1st cousin of your Samuel with the common ancestor of Thomas McClendon (m/Elinor Bush). I show Samuel was b/ca 1762 NC and died in 1845 in St. Clair Co, AL and married Fannie Dumas (no dates). I would love to have more information on your line. I only have birth and death years (perhaps only estimates) for Samuel, and no dates for Fannie, nor a marriage date. I show children of James B, Moorman, William and John B, but no dates. I have one wife and marriage date for all the sons except for William. I have no children listed for them though.
