Trying to find Silas's whereabouts in 1900. In 1887 he married Carrie B. Moore in Monroe County,MS, but they disappear after that. He later married Ida Mae Taylor and they are both buried in Artesia, Lowndes County, MS. But I cannot find Silas on the 1900, 1910 or 1920 census. If anyone has access to these indices, I would appreciate a look up for him, with various spellings of Gillespie, Gillispie and Gillespee. Thank you, Clare L. Whoever has the Crawford name could do me a great favor if you checked your data for McMillan or Ince. Somewhere along the line, the Crawford name figured into my White line through those two names. My dad's brother was named Hulie Crawford White, and the Crawford came thru his mother's line of McMillan. FYI Bullock Co came into being in 1866, formed from Barbour, Montgomery & Pike counties. Thus there will be no census prior to 1870, except in those parent counties..
