    3. Charlene, From what I can tell from searching around the internet, the PEEBLES came from Scotland. I don't have my line traced back that far yet.     3. Vonda, Thanks, I was just curious as the name is spelled the same. I suspect mine migrated from Ireland also. The name I have is William Peebles, born est. 1745, daughter Ann Peebles b:Est 1765 in PA, Married Moses Swan. They had one son Moses H Swan. Thanks for replying. Charlene

    3. Vonda, Where did your Peebles come from? I have a grgrgrgrgrandfather named Peebles who lived in PA. I suspect he came over from Ireland or England. Haven't gotten that far yet. Just thot we might have a connection. Thanks, Charlene

Either his father or his father-in-law raised camels, as did a Mr. Woolsey, who, I believe, may have been a neighbor. I do not know where these census beats are located ,although if anyone knows how to access them via the internet, I would love to know the map site, so I don't know how close these people are to one another. The census page numbers seem to indicate that they live in the same general area. My GG-Grandmother, Mary Ella Grant, was born in 1858 in a community that was known at the time as Frog Level. It was near Bellevue in Dallas County. Bellevue is in central western portion of Dallas County not too far from Browns.
