I would like to ask for help on Talladega county censuses. I believe that it is the only county in the state for which we have no volunteers working on any census. Does anyone have either a completed census that could be used, i.e. not copyright or permission from copyright holder to POst on our sites? Also couls use any Census CD-Roms for willing volunteers to transcribe. Earnie R. I have received a CD-ROM from a member with 1850 Russell County and 1830 Covington Co census Images. These will soon be published online as images, thus I can not do lookups. Can I get a 1870 census, search for one Sam Rouse of Afr/Am descent, or anything prior to this. He was born Dec 1863, in Alabama. Trying to locate his parents names; I have his death certificate but didn't list his dad or mom's name on them. Maybe this will aide in my search and get me pass this brick wall. They are not in Georgia but are in AL in 1900 so I am hoping they were in AL in 1870.If someone has an index for this year or can help in any way, I know we aren't supposed to ask for any county, but I haven't a clue where they might have been in 1870.
