    3. Thanks Carol. Unfortunately, that's all that I have. This side of the family all died before I was born. Living and growing up here in PA, I was away from all of dad's family. He was in the Navy and settled here when Mom had me... I'm the oldest. He only went home for his parents funerals and the last was in in 1959. I wish I knew more. I only know about John M. Smith and his family in AR and nothing about AL. We don't even know about John's mother from TN... she must have died early on, because his kids didn't put her name in any of the family bibles nor on John's death certificate, nor did they remember much about his father... only that he came front AL. I'm from PA and I can only access records at our Archives from the bordering States... so they say. Thanks for at least looking. I've been doing this the paper route since 1988 and on line for ~a year. This Smith side is my toughest side... no one to ask. Thanks again. Peace and blessings.
