    3. Another truly faded sheet, Angela. The best I can make out is: Peter, age 50 Leanna, age 42 Peter, Jr., age 18 Griffin, age 16 *Preacher or Preachie?, age 10 Mary, age 7 *Lonzo?, age 4 The 1930 census lists these two sons as Roger and Alonzo. The four-year-old male in 1920 might possibly be Lonzo, but the name shown for the ten-year-old doesn't look anything like Roger. Sorry I can't be more positive about those two. 3. Angie, Ancestry has Fannie Ivey indexed as age 69, but the entries on that sheet as so dim as to be unreadable, at least for me. The image at HQ is somewhat better, and they have her indexed as 64 there, which looks correct to me. Here is what I am able to make out with any degree of certainty: 1920 Bullock County, Alabama - Precinct 3 - January 1, 1920 - ED 311/Sheet 3B 42 - Ivey, Fannie, head; owns free; F B 64 Wd; AL GA VA; farmer/general farm Goodwin, Frances, grdau; F B 12 S; AL AL AL; farm laborer Goodwin, G___??, grson; M B 10 S; AL AL AL; farm laborer Remember - Subject line: Year/County/SURNAME - Thanks. 3. Indeed! It's a wonderful system, Evelyn, and works well for many people. Remember when nothing was indexed past 1850? I, too, began my own research way back when - prior to "instant internet genealogy" when vacations means trips to out-of-state courthouses and every weekend was spent searching cemeteries. It's certainly not the same, and just as certainly - not as rewarding. Still - it works well for filling in some gaping holes.
