Sandra, I don't think that question was directed at me. I don't have any Garrows in my research, so of course I'd have no way of knowing who he was. It may be that his family wasn't in Mobile in 1850 or was missed by the census taker, or mis-indexed by the indexing system. Would you like to request a lookup for him in the 1870 Mobile County census? Dear Linda, THANK YOU SO MUCH for finding both Steel Partin and his divorced wife, Myrtle C. Norwood (living with her siblings), on the 1920 Jefferson Co AL Census. I am hoping to find as much on them as possible to further my research. Both of them may have remarried, but can you please do a lookup for the 1930 Jefferson Co Census for Steel Partin, who was age 35 on the 1920 Census and for his son, Steele Partin, who was age 8, living with his mother, on the 1920 Census? I appreciate your help more than you can know. Joy
