I realize that the 1880 census is free but i would like a look up off of the original to see if the one on 1880 familysearch is correct. L.D. Perdue Film Number T9-0030 Page number 559B Thanks, Rebecca
I have limited information but here goes. Thomas MOORE was b ca. 1850 in Louisiana or Tennessee. He was married to Anna/Annie. Had a daughter Anna "Annie" Bell who married Charles CHAPPLE/CHAPPEL(L) in 1892 in Jefferson County, AL and another son Charles T MOORE b. ca 1878. Thus far I not located any members of this family in 1900 or 1910. There could be other children I am unaware of. Looking to find any reference to them on the 1900 or 1910 census. Anything is possible........John may have died before 1900, Emily may have! It is most frustrating! This has been my brick wall. Thanks so much for the help. No need to apologize either............not your fault our ancestors kept sorry records! :-) I am running into the same problem with my maternal Simmons line in Tennesee..............both families seem to vanish! bummer! Linda, You are probably right, they more than likely were all wadded up together and got missed. I can't find Pierson/Person Messer who fits into this group in 1870 either. I think they may have all lived in the same area. David and Milly Cutchens daughter were Abbigal and Sarah. Apparently Abbigal dies young or disappears real quick. Sarah married Claiborn Watson in 1871. The name has so many variations that it is not even funny. Cutchen, Cutchens, Kutchin, Kutchen, Cutcheon, Cutchings, Kitchins. You are a real trooper for trying! Thanks, Kathy _________________________________________________________________ Find a broadband plan that fits. Kathy, I can't find any of that bunch indexed in 1870 Alabama. I thought if I could find their children, they might be close by. 1870 is every-name indexed at Ancestry, so at least one of them should be findable unless they were living in a wad and were all missed.
