    3. Hi Tammy, I don't know if this will help you or not. But I did alot of research in Coosa County, Alabama myself. And when I contacted the Anniston Room at the Anniston Library. They had so much info on my Miller line that it was so overwhelming!! I got huge report from other researchers that had paid a professional genealogist to do the foot work in S.C. and Tenn. and Al. I also got bible records and court records and so much more. It did not cost very much as the info was all in folders already and they just charged me 10.00 for one hour to do the search, and then for the copies! It was well worth it! Just a suggestion. Take care, and good luck in your search. =) Cheryl ----- Original Message ----- From: "David & Tammy" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 09, 2004 7:50 AM Subject: [AL-CEN] Franklin's /Simmon's Coosa County > I have a big puzzle. > In the 1870 Coosa county Alabama census there is a J.T. 3. Ernie, There's only one William or W. Smith possibility indexed in 1870 Alabama who was born in New York. He was indexed in 1870 Montgomery County, as Wm. D. R. Smith, age 38 (born ca 1832) with a wife named Sarah, age 27. Sorry I wasn't able to help. 1. Franklin's /Simmon's Coosa County
    2. David & Tammy
    3. I have a big puzzle. In the 1870 Coosa county Alabama census there is a J.T. Franklin listed with son William and housekeeper L. Simons{Simmons}.By the 1880 Coosa Census I believe J.T. Franklin to be dead because William Franklin and Lucy Simons{Simmons} age 85 are listed in the household of William Stubblefield and wife Nancy.William Franklin is listed as William Stubblefields cousin and Lucy Simons{Simmons} is listed as his grandmother. There were Franklin aires{Elizabeth Kelley} that married a William Stubblefield earlier. So with William Franklin being a cousin to a Stubblefield. I'm trying to make the link to Benjamin Dekalb Franklin {grandfather to Elizabeth Kelley who married a William Stubblefield }and my William Franklin.{Note} There is a marriage between a John T. Franklin and a Selia Dean in 1866 Coosa County Alabama . My William Franklin was born in 1867. According to family stories William's dad was killed in Rockford Alabama for his sheep.William Franklin was born in 1866-67. William Franklin's dad was said to be full Indian. There is a William Benjamin Franklin listed in the Guion Miller Roll.William's son James Tyler Franklin looks like he is of Native American descent int the pics we have of him. Thru family folklore William Franklin or his dad was a medicine man. Please, any help, my husband is not in good health and I promised him I would find his tree before. Tammy
