Hello, all! I have run into a roadblock with my investigation of my direct ancestors. I can trace back to a Henry Akin who settled in Middletown, CT, in the early 1700's. He had two wives and a number of children, most of whom I haven't traced any further, yet. His first child, Thomas, is listed in the Middletown records as being born in Boston, MA, around 1721. The rest are all born in Middletown, and both his marriages are in Middletown so they must have been visiting when Thomas was born. First wife was Izabel (sic) Homes (sic). All his children went by the name Akins, but even his tombstone leaves off the 's'. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.
