    1. Re: [AKINS-L] Re: Catherine AIKEN & William BOYD
    2. WOW Angie! Thanks! That is terrific! I went to the LDS FHC for the first time today. I was looking at the microfiche <?> for Co. Tyrone and I saw Catherine AIKEN listed as you emailed me. Plus when I got home, I had received my copy from Strabane. Talk about spelling variations! Several months ago when I received Isabella's birth record, Catherine's name was spelled AKIN on it. On the copy I received today, under name and surname, it is spelled AIKEN but on the signature section, it is spelled EAKIN. I received a letter from the Registrar stating that in the entry that was how it appeared, i.e., AIKEN but she signed it EAKIN. They had difficulty deciphering the 2nd witness claiming it was blotted but they agreed it was William EAKIN. The record lists Catherine AIKEN's OR EAKIN's <ugh> father was Moody AIKEN, farmer. Residence at time of marriage was Grange. William BOYD's father was James BOYD, farmer. I can't read the registrar's handwriting on the residence section. On Isabella's birth record, it stated Drumbyagh as residence. This looks similar...but it appears to be Drumlegagh. I copied all the pages for AIKEN/EAKIN and variants from the FHC. It appears that the list you sent was the same information? Now that I have the pages copied with the batch film numbers and serial sheet numbers on them, how do I write for the film? Thanks so much for all your help. If anyone has a Moody AIKEN, please contact me. Happy Hunting! Gloria
