Hello, I had asked this sometime before and got no answer (other that my own coming back to me). Hopefully the list has picked a few more people up and someone can help out. I am a ggg granddaughter of Joseph Eakins and Isabella Walkcup Eakins who immigrated from County Tyrone, Ireland, before the Revolutionary War (1775) into SC and went onto Rutherford Co., NC. They had 6 children--Thomas, Samuel, John, George, Sarah (Sally), and Isabella. John and George came into Henderson Co., KY, in 1811. I think the other two brothers may have followed into KY. Sally married a Biggerstaff and stayed in NC, although some of her descendants did come into KY. And Isabella married a Wilkinson and I have absolutely no idea of what happened to her. There was a family story that Joseph Eakins had a brother, John, that came with him and Isabella to the Carolinas and John built a mill. I cannot find anything out about this brother, John. Can anyone out there help? I would be happy to share information. Helen Keusch gkeusch@psci.net
