Hello, I hope I'm not troubling anyone since I'm not actively researching the Akins surname. I am however seeking to locate family of Ruth Akins, who lived in Washington (state) in the 1970's. She was a granddaughter of Harriet Jane Kapp (b. 1855 Pa, moved to Avalon, Mo, d. unk.), and corresponded briefly with my mother in law while doing family history research. Ruth was kind enough at that time to provide photocopy of a newspaper article on the Civil War letters of Samuel Selen Kapp, which included some old family photos submitted by her. I would like very much to obtain scanned images of the original photos if they can be located, and will share Kapp information on this line. Thanks very much.
