Hi Paul, We are interested in pre revolution Akins in New York. We have some information and are seeking the family of Katherine Amanda Heineman who married Frank Seymour Akins. Frank was from Chautaugua County, NY. The marriage would have been in the late 1800's. Hi Nora, We have some information (not verified by us) on a Capt.John Akin who came over from Scotland and died in King Philip's War here. He had a son, John also. Our info comes from a book in the Fenton Library in Jamestown, NY which was done by an individual. It would be interesting to compare notes.
