While transcribing Bradley County, TN Goodspeed Biographies, I found the above family. It says that Samuel (at age 7) came to South Carolina with his parents from County Antrim Ireland. From the information available, Sam was born about 1800. He moved to Calhoun, TN around 1825. He married Martha L. Brown from Bristol TN. Samuel had charge of an ambulance train during the Cherokee Removal. He died in 1837. Samuel and Martha had two sons and one daughters. Does anyone know the name of the other son? Oh, I descend from Littleton and Nancy (Chastain) Akin.
