    3. Tracie, I believe she was speaking to me about her Catherine. However, I will look and see if I can find something on your Catherine and her husband William Thomas Lister, tomorrow as it is getting late. I am very interested in knowing where your Knowles came from. (She was born 1798 in SC, died about 1860 in Gordon County GA) His sister, Nancy Chastain, married Littleton Akin (b. 1803 SC) I believe this is a brother of Mary as she named her first son Littleton Chastain. 3. Hello Angie, I'm sure that I have been in touch with you before (looking for a Samuel Aikins from 1779 1- 1784 in New York City, who moved to Nova Scotia in 1784). The name Samuel caught my eye here. So far, I have had NO LUCK finding this Samuel amongst the Dutchess County, New York, Aikins. Is it possible that he could be the Connecticut Samuel Aikins? Do you have any information about this man or his descendants? Paul Grimwood, Ancaster, Ontario Ted & Angie Strzelecki wrote: > Hi Carl! > > I am familiar with the family you speak of. 3. Gloria, I show from some marriage records I have of Ireland that Catherine Akin & William Boyd were married on 16 Nov 1848 Tyrone, Ardstraw, Ireland. There was also an Elizabeth who married the same place on 15 Mar 1847 to Robert Colhoun. They could be related? Also, a George married to Jane Ross, same place on 20 Apr 1848. Not trying to drive you crazy, but just thought they could be possible relations...siblings. They list the town as Tyrone and the parish as Ardstraw. There are several. Some have different parrish's. If you are ever interested in me sending you a listing of the ones for Tyrone, let me know. Good luck in your research! 3. Hi Juanita, I do the Akin newsletter. It is called AKIN ANCESTORS. I have been very behind getting the issues out, due to personal/family problems. But now things are so much better and I have been working very hard to get these issues to everyone. I just sent another batch of newsletters out yesterday. The newsletter is done quarterly. March, Jun, Sep and Dec. At present I am working on completing the December 98 issue. Each issue for 98 ranges between 30-60 pages and is indexed. The yearly subscription is $17.00. If you decide to subscribe, please make check payable to: Angie Strzelecki, 524 E. Seminole Ave., McAlester, OK., 74501. My phone #, which is unlisted, is 918-429-1176. If you are not interested in subscribing, that is okay. I would love to correspond with you. What family do you descend from? I may have info in my files. Hope to hear from you again and thanks for writing. 3. Hi, Here is a message I have been trying to send to two Eakins(Akins) that have been in contact with me. I think I deleted their names when I deleted all my sent and deleted items. 1. Re: [AKINS-L] Catherine Malinda Aikens?
    2. Yes Please!!!! That sounds like my Catherine. Maybe the others are related as well. Please send me all that you mentioned!!! That is the exact date the person from the GRO told me!!! I am sooooo excited! LOL Can you tell? <g> It will crack me up if I am related to ROSS also. One of my good friends is a ROSS and so far in a couple of my lines I've come across BOYD married to ROSS as well. Don't know where her ROSS ancestors were from and I am trying to get her started searching as well!!!! Co Tyrone is where most of my ancestors are from so far. Do you know who Catherine's parents are? William BOYDs? I wish I had that darn marriage record!!! Any day now. You have really made my day. Uh evening that is! :) I didn't have any info on my AKIN side except knowing Catherine was married to William and they had Isabella in 1866. Note the time they were married until the time she was born. I bet they are related as well. What records do you have? How are you related? What names are you searching? Sorry for bombarding you with questions. <g> Thanks in advance for all your assistance. Good luck on your searches as well. Gloria
