Craig: I'm still assuming Almon was the son of Wm Akers s/o Jesse. I corresponded with the two people who had quiries on genforum regarding Almons. I'm playing the name game which may be the wrong approach. But my thinking is, if you were Almon Akers, and IF your mother died young, wouldn't you honor her by naming one or two children after her? The name game worked beautifully in my husband's line (Hawkins/Tomlinson). Male ancesters carried maiden name as their middle name even! I found a virtual gold mine with these two lines this summer. It's probably all coincidence regarding Francis A.'s in both lines. But at least contact has been made with that line just in case there's something to it. Almons were in Union County OH which is a little north and east of Butler County, OH. On Sat, 19 August 2000, CraigH9557@aol.com wrote: > > Ardie > > That seems like a good clue.
