I'm afraid I've not found anything new. Most of the info I was able to find at the Denver Library was based on the Shearer-Akers book and therefore contained the same inaccuracies. (NJ Historical Society) Did find will of Ralph Hart listing the following children: Benjamin, Samuel, Ralph, Josiah, Mary Carpenter, Sarah Akers, Mercy, Martha Laining, Elizabeth Jones, Abigall Laining. 1. Do you have documented proof of Simon Akers's (167-) children? My info only states it came from Shearer book with no proof. 2. John Akers 1713. I could only find the name of "Martha" as being his wife. I found death of a Wm Acker who died Aug 7, 1793 with a wife of "Ann", could this be John's(1713)son William? 3. Do you have any info showing a Jesse was a child of Wm. and Eleanor Lanning Akers? I didn't find anything listing their children. I only found Wm Akers 1730 as being the wife of Elizabeth Martye (based on the Shearer book again)and only one child, Wm. If you have any "holes" in your info, let me know. Made copies of everything I could find on Akers wills and county records.
