    3. Virginia: Go to Amherst, VA 1850 census. You will find a William Norval Akers born 1842-44, son of John Henry Akers, son of William Akers. This family moved to Pike County, MO about 1851. Some of this family, back and fore, did go to other areas of MO before 1850, some to Henry County. The William you speak of could have had a son William that was killed in action in WW1, Check that out too. I hope this helps.
