Dear Jack, I am looking for more information on my Akers line, which was my mother, Irma Akers father. A John Dempsey Akers and his father John Dempsey Akers. They were part of a line that included James Holmes Akers, first sheriff of Carter County, Oklahoma, circa 1905 and Layfayette Jones Akers, who was a democratic delegate to the first state convention when Oklahoma became a state in 1908. The father a George Akers , I think, and wife, originally were around Grayson County Texas and I believe died or were buried around Plainview Texas. I would be interested in your cousins chart to see if it includes any in my Akers heritage. Thank you for your email.
