I have also located info saying that Polly was on the siler roll (I believe in N. C. ). According to some people, when William died, Polly joined her Indian servant and relocated to N. C. where she was listed on the Siler roll. The Blackburn family goes way back in early America as given in various publications and in a blackburn genealogy on the web (may still be on the web). Since Blackburn is not an Indian name, she would have needed to change her name to English. There is also some debate as to which William Akers she married. There were at least four William Akers living in that time frame. About six months ago, I had a website giving the lineage of about 5000 members of the Akers family. Earl B. Akers also had an Akers lineage covering another 5000 members of the Akers family. Before he died, we had a debate going concerning William and Polly.
