Akers 42 (wd, 8 ch 6 living) b Nov 1857 IL(NC-IN), Zella Chitwood 22 dau (wd, 1 ch 1living) b Nov 1877 MO(NY-IL), Leona Akers 16 son b Dec 1883 MO(MO-IL), Nancy E. Akers 12 dau b June 1887 MO(MO-IL), Retha M. Akers 9 dau b Nov 1890 MO(MO-IL), Carney S. Akers 7 son b June 1892 MO(MO-IL), Tenie H. Akers 4 dau b May 1896 MO(MO-IL), Versa A. Chitwood 10 GD b Mar 1890 MO(MO-MO). Do you think Zella Chitwood's maiden name was Thomas instead of Akers? She said in 1900 census that her father was born in NY, while the Akers children's father was born in Missouri. Mary A. is the mother of both.
