Bailey, 94, formerly of the Green Valley area, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000 at the Rose Lane Nursing Home in Massillon. Born Oct. 4, 1906, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Alice Lorinda Lusk Ayers. She was a homemaker and for a few years she worked as a school teacher. She was a graduate of Princeton High School and Concord Normal School. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Bailey Collins. Survivors include her husband, Fred A. Bailey of Massillon; son, Allen F. Bailey and wife, Norma of Uniontown, Ohio; sister, Elsie Anderson of Princeton; brothers, James Ayers of Princeton and Howard Ayers of Oregon; grandchildren, Dawn R. Utz and husband, Ryan of Deerfield Beach, Fla. and David A. Bailey of Uniontown; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Brianna; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Greenview United Methodist Church in Green Valley with the Rev. Randy Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Park Cemetery, Green Valley. Friends may call at the church Thursday from noon until time of services. Arrangements by the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Fred A. Bailey UNIONTOWN, Ohio - Fred A. Bailey, 96, of 2941 Sweitzer Road, Uniontown, formerly of the Green Valley area of Bluefield, died Aug. 24, 2001 at the Rose Lane Care Facility, Massillon, Ohio. Born June 22, 1905, in Green Valley, he was the son of the late Luther and Nora Akers Bailey. He was educated in Mercer Co., was a retired receiving clerk for the Superior/Sterling Company in Bluefield with more than 35 years of service. He was a member of the Greenview United Methodist Church in Green Valley and had spent the vast majority of his life in Mercer Co.. He also was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Chapter, Bluefield and the Eagle's Lodge of Bluefield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula B. Ayers Bailey on Nov. 6, 2000; a daughter, Jean Bailey Collins; along with all his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his son, Allen F. Bailey and wife, Norma J. of Uniontown; grandchildren, David A. Bailey of Emporia, Va. and Dawn R. Utz and husband, Ryan of Deerfield, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Brooke Rynae Utz and Brianna Dawn Utz. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday from the Greenview United Methodist Church in Green Valley with the Rev. Brent Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Park Cemetery, Green Valley. Friends may call Thursday from noon until time of services at the church.
